Dual-mode UX
Caregiver mode and care-recipient mode in one app, each with the appropriate level of complexity.
Case Study · CAREGIVING · US
Two user experiences in one app, caregiver and care-recipient.
The story
Caregiving spans generations, caregiver and care-recipient have different needs from the same app. Founder Gil Kasparek wanted an app that supported both modes natively, with real-time sync. KUMO built the dual-mode mobile app end-to-end.
What we delivered
Caregiver mode and care-recipient mode in one app, each with the appropriate level of complexity.
Shared visibility across caregiver and care-recipient with low-latency sync.
Designed for non-technical users with progressive disclosure and minimal jargon.
Native iOS + Android with shared state across devices and modes.
Considerations for older users and assistive tech baked into the design system, not bolted on.
Built for ongoing daily use, not one-off interactions, designed for sustained adoption.
